This past weekend marked a turning point for Teen Identity Portraits and Magazine and our Media and Model Team. We stepped into the world of high fashion photo shoots with a full crew of 10 models, 2 makeup artists, 3 hair dressers, 3 fashion stylists, props, a photographer and a 2-man video crew to create a short film and a behind the scenes documentary. Add to that, an incredible location in Atlanta next to Emory University, Lullwater Park. We planned location shots at two bridges, the woods, fallen trees, a babbling brook, open field, rippling lake and the most fantastic location of all for the pinnacle of the shoot.
What transpired was the most epic photo and video shoot Teen Identity and our teen models have ever experienced or created. The spark for this idea came from one of our very own media and model team members and grew into a fantasy fashion photo shoot and original short film. From there, we enlisted the help of Nick Tsokalas from Nick Tsokalas Designs and Michele Honore, makeup artist and consultant for BeautiControl. Filming was done by our very own Ron Dawson of Dare Dreamer Media and assisted by Phil Stevens, who has been a valuable asset on other productions including our 48 Hour Film Festival production.

As you watch, remember that these are junior high and high school girls… regular girls who spent a Saturday experiencing something that most girls dream their whole lives of experiencing. They aren’t trained actors or professional models… they are regular girls who struggle with busy schedules, finishing their homework, and dealing with drama, peer pressure, friends, and even bullying. They are amazing and we are so proud of who they are and the confidence they exude from their very core!
