Pageants can be a good thing and a bad thing. They can completely change your life but sometimes it’s not the way you want it. I have been in pageants since the age of eight. Sometimes I get looked down on because of pageants. Other times people look up to me. Both can make or break you, so I will tell you about what to expect!
I’ve learned a lot from pageants. I’ve learned that sometimes girls can be so mean. But other girls can be so accepting and just nice people.
If you would like to be in pageants remember to always be nice to your competition!
Pageants give you confidence! They can teach you that you’ll always be beautiful, even if you don’t get the place you wanted. I focus on fun! If your enjoying yourself on stage you’ll be remembered, I promise.
Pageants can be so fun, but if you don’t enjoy them stop.
When you’re onstage, people can tell the difference between someone who is having fun and someone who is not.
Your destination is something you need to focus on. If you’re only there for the crown and sash then you’re not doing it for the right reasons. Sure I love to feel the crown on my head but it’s the difference you make with it.
Community service makes me feel beautiful.
Knowing that I’m not just letting the crown sit on the shelf is amazing!
Don’t let pageants make you lose your identity. Don’t let pageants turn you into a totally different person in a bad way. Be you and just add pageants on. Never be oblivious to your acts.
Keep the beautiful person you are and show it to the world through pageants.
Never judge yourself cruelly. Don’t look around at others and think your less because you definitely are NOT. You are your beautiful self. Nobody is the same, so don’t think you have to be!
Be the best person you can be in everything you do!
Lastly, I really hope that nobody thinks that ALL girls that compete in pageants are, “catty, rude, and fake,” because I can tell you a lot of people who are definitely NOT. And I’m not. Yes, there can be some but don’t judge a book by its cover because it sure doesn’t get you anywhere.
I hope you have a lot of fun in pageantry and I hope you change the world with those sashes and crowns!
