Jamie Grace is a young college student who was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at the age of 11. She has spoken about it throughout the U.S., but also has shared her story through music. She was recently signed to Gotee Records owned by TobyMac, who is featured on the hit, “Hold Me”.
I first heard Jamie Grace’s song, “Hold Me” on the radio. It’s very popular right now, which is probably due to the catchy beat and inspiring lyrics. However, I would venture to say that “Hold Me” is the song that best describes Jamie’s style.
Jamie’s music is the kind of snappy pop that makes the listener want to smile and dance around in her bedroom. By listening closely to the lyrics, one finds that Jamie Grace has a great love for God. The best word to describe her music is “happy”. It makes you happy when you listen to it, and it helps you focus on what this life is really all about. I’d definitely recommend this album to anyone who likes music that is fun and positive!
